The Composition of Sway is a performance consisting of 5 musicians replicating the soundscape of Sway, The New Forest through unconventional methods of playing. 


The work is a result of a series on sonic workshops directed by Sian that engaged musicians with understanding our environment through listening.Through approaches  by Canadian composer R. Murray Schafer and adapted by Sian, these workshops employed 'ear cleaning' exercises, sonic walks, rehearsals in the forest and within the gallery space. 


The project also featured a booklet that was intended as a document of the work.
